Hinokakera [3D Fighting Game]

Potential Pros & Cons

PROS:
- It's like Guilty Gear, Only 3D
- Nice soundtrack with tunes that appropriately
  match each character
- Deep combo system and many defensive abilities
make this game great for novices and pros alike
- Play over the net with a friend
- Moderately Challenging
- The latest version (Hinokakera - fragment:Eclipse)
has a story mode that's pretty decent
- The game has some incredible super moves
- The special effects of attacks is very nice
  for a doujin game
- A small staff produces big results for a cheap price
- Little to no Japanese knowledge is required
  to enjoy this game

CONS:
- The game could've used more stages
- The latest version of the game only has 13
  characters total
- A couple of other unlockables would have helped
- Controls seem a little loose
- Most character models look a little plain
  and rudimentary

Vyse States:
"As with most doujin games or PC games in general, you should only
buy the most recent version of the game to get the most bang for your
buck. Otherwise, you have to keep waiting for additional upgrades.
While I'm not sure if a newer version of Hinokakera is in development,
Hinokakera - fragment:Eclipse (the latest version) makes for a decent
buy. The game has a deep fighting system and some of the craziest
special attacks I've ever seen. Hinokakera - fragment:Eclipse is pretty
nice, but I wouldn't get the other two versions if I were getting Eclipse."

Game Screenshots: Hinokakera - fragment:Eclipse

Title Screen Who is this babe? Her name is Eleanor. What does she do? Well, she doesn't fight, that's for sure... This screenshot makes me think of Squall and his ultimate attack...
