Koto Battle [Roleplaying Game]

Potential Pros & Cons

PROS:
- Very vibrant graphics with nice anime stills and detailed environments
- Interesting musical score that fits well with the theme and design of the game
- Deep and engrossing gameplay system using cards
- Versus battle support and options mode to listen to the soundtrack, etc.
- Game clear bonuses and sidequests
- Lots of deck experimentation and replayability
- Well illustrated plot considering Game Boy Color RPGs and hardware limitations
- 100 monsters to discover, 370 cards in all to use
- Very affordable + bang-for-buck = instant win

CONS:
- Understanding of Japanese needed to fully enjoy game
- Hero looks a little wimpy compared to the awesome villain(s)
- Some opponents are downright cruel

Vyse States:
"The game starts off a little slow paced as the game slams you with
tutorials and makes you fight wimpy trainers, but it quickly picks
up momentum and becomes a load of fun. This game is all about
making a deck and seeing just how much you can get away with. The
game has a few tough opponents who push your skills to the limit.
This game is worth every penny!"

Bel States:
" YU-GI-WHO-OH? It's time to duel...Koto Battle style!"

Game Screenshots

Title Screen The Hero and Kanae during simpler times Hito-Hito (your monster) is heating things up Really nice overworld graphics, with strange oriental backgrounds...strange, but almost breathtaking for this handheld.
