Sumo Fighter [Action Game]

Potential Pros & Cons

PROS:
- You get to play with a SUMO WRESTLER
- Detailed backdrops and large character sprites
- Decent audio
- Moderate Length
- Password support
- Different difficulties present new enemies and challenges
- Interesting blend of platformer, RPG, and Japanese aesthetics
- Uncommon game (for collectors)

CONS:
- The hero, Bon-chan, lags slightly between turns
- Bon-chan stomps fairly slow
- Bon-chan's headbutt attack is pretty useless
- Rising levels create holes everywhere you jump (very annoying)
- The U.S. needs more games with Sumo Wrestlers for stars

Bel States:
"More fun than a barrel of monkeys? Maybe not, but Sumo Fighter
is a fine Game Boy Action/RPG starring a hero we hardly got to
know. This game wields a solid gameplay engine and Japanese
culture in spades, not to mention you even get a little of the
whole Sumo Wrestling/Oozumou experience on the side. Too
bad we'll probably never see anything like this in the states
ever again."
